Ok, I'm about to list the board changes, but before I do, let me assure you that if you moderate a topic, it's still there. Trust me. Here's a list of what changed and at the end, I'll tell you why it changed.
The reason for doing this is to help save room on the main site. It will lower the time it takes for the page to load so it helps those with slower connections or those like me that log on with a mobile browser via cell phone or PSP.
We like to have a diverse range of topics so there is a home for everyone, however, having them all available on the main page was dragging out the time it takes for the site to load. Also, constantly scrolling down to get to the topic was becoming tiresome. Now, you simply click on the main page link to the forum that contains the sub-board you would like to see and click the sub-board to enter it.
It simply tidies up the site a little bit.
Also, I would like to add that by clicking on a catagory name (ex. General, News, Advice Columns.....) you can shrink that catagory down to practically a bubble. So if you've gone through a whole catagory and would like to continue on, you can collapse it to help shrink the amount of page you must scroll through.
These are the changes that I've made. We'll see how it goes. If you don't like the new set-up, please speak your mind in the Comments, Questions, and Suggestions forum. I'm always open to any of those. If you do like it, then please say so. This way I know I'm not totally screwing up the way our forum looks and operates.
Thank you.
