Apparently there have been at least 10 deaths of dogs and cats linked to tainted dog/cat food. They mostly died of renal failure. Here is two links for you to check out. One is the story and has other links to other articles related to the pet food scare. The other link is the list of dog/cat food so far that has been recalled. If your pet has been on a food on the list, call the vet immediately and take your pet off of the tainted food!!! That's really disappointing. You pay good money for brand name food and most of it is being recalled because pets are getting sick and dying from it! www.denverpost.com/ci_5475231www.denverpost.com/ci_5478777

My cats are eating Iams and that is on the list, so I better take them off of that and get some new cat food today. They have been eating out of that big bag of cat food for a long time, so that bag is probably fine. I should get some new cat food just incase though.

Only Cuts or Gravy wet food was affected by the problem. Dry food was not affected, and standard canned types were not affected. Just because Iams made the list it means that one of their products was contaminated, not all of them.

I saw in the paper yesterday that now they're also recalling Ol' Roy Dog Biscuits sold from Wal-Mart. Something about a harzardous material that is made in plastic is in the dog bones. Some real nice shit, huh?

That's a really good article. I'm going to send it to some of my friends! Thanks jess! Who knows though, it could be dry food next?! Scary thought!
